Welcome to Federal Way Taxi. By booking a ride with us online or over the phone, you agree to the following terms and conditions. These policies allow us to maintain absolute reliability, protect our drivers, and guarantee on-time service for all passengers across Federal Way, South King County, Pierce County, and the surrounding regions.
1. Pricing, Rates, and No Hidden Fees
Guaranteed Flat Rates: All airport, cruise terminal, and long-distance transfers are quoted as fixed, flat rates at the time of booking. This price includes standard transit costs.
No Traffic Penalties: Your rate stays exactly the same regardless of traffic accidents, highway construction on I-5 or SR-18, or heavy rush-hour congestion along the regional freeway corridors.
Exclusions: Tolls, parking fees incurred during specific terminal requests, and optional driver gratuities are not included in the base flat rate unless explicitly stated.
2. Cancellation, Rescheduling, and Wait Times
All bookings are subject to our formal adjustment policies to protect our drivers’ schedules:
Advance Notice Requirements: Cancellations made more than 24 hours before the scheduled pickup time receive a full refund with zero penalties. Cancellations made within 24 hours, or passenger no-shows, may be subject to a fee up to the full amount of the quoted fare.
Built-In Grace Periods: We provide a 5-minute complimentary grace period for residential and local pickups, and a 30-minute complimentary grace period for tracked airport arrivals. Waiting past these windows may incur additional fees billed in 15-minute increments.

3. Passenger Conduct and Vehicle Damage
Safe Environment: We maintain a strictly smoke-free and vape-free environment across our entire fleet.
Seatbelt Compliance: In compliance with Washington State law, all passengers must wear seatbelts while the vehicle is in motion.
Damage & Cleaning Fees: Passengers are financially responsible for any physical damage or exceptional cleaning required due to negligence, spills, or misconduct inside the vehicle. A standard detailing fee will be assessed for any vehicle sanitation or detailing issues.
4. Baggage and Cargo Capacity
Vehicle Capacity: It is the passenger’s responsibility to select the appropriate vehicle size (Sedan vs. SUV vs. Van) during booking to accommodate their travel party and luggage safely.
Safety Restrictions: Drivers reserve the right to refuse items that cannot be safely loaded into the trunk or cargo area without obstructing the driver’s visibility or risking vehicle damage.
5. Limitation of Liability
Unforeseen Delays: While we boast an exceptional on-time record, Federal Way Taxi is not liable for delays caused by extreme weather conditions, unexpected highway closures, major accidents, or force majeure events beyond our control.
Missed Flights & Cruise Departures: We highly recommend scheduling your pickup time with a generous buffer for airport security lines and boarding gates. Federal Way Taxi is not responsible for missed flights or missed cruise departures due to passenger-selected pickup times that do not leave adequate room for travel variables.
